Mr. Shaban Simiu Wakoya is allegedly engaging in the sexual exploitation of young girls, resulting in the transmission of HIV/AIDS.

A family from Butonge Village, in Sirisia Sub County, Bungoma County seeks Justice after their young daughter had been defiled and more so infected with HIV/AIDS but nothing has been done to help the family have justice of their daughter.

According to the information , the man who has become notorious in defiling even people’s wives in the area who is called SHABAN SIMIYU WAKOYA met this girl on the way to fetch water only to convince the girl that he was going to give her a job.

The girl who had just finished her KCPE exams by then waiting to join Secondary School, got convinced by this man. The man took the girl to his home, then forced her to sleep with her for some days before he could offer that job opportunity to her.

According to the family, the girl was found with this man on 11th January this year of 2024 during evening hours.
This man was taken to Sirisia Police Station at around 21:30 hrs where he was shortly retained there, then released on bond.

Early in the morning the following day, the girl was taken to Sirisia Sub County Hospital where she was diagnosed and confirmed to be have infected by this man with HIV/AIDS.
The case had been proceeding in Sirisia Law court until on 26th September when the family shockingly received information that their case has been nalyfied and was no more.

The father to the defiled girl, Mr. MATAYO KAKAI decided to go back to court to inquire of the information they got as a family was true since the stipulated date had not yet dawned in.
Reached at Sirisia, he was told that his case was no more.

He wished to know why rulling of that case was done in his absence as the complainant, and more so before the date of the following visit, he was told to go back home since the case had been nalyfied.
“They did rulling before the rulling day had reached and also without my presence and knowledge.
Asking the reason for that, at first, nobody told me anything else apart from rebuking me, telling me to go back home.

I did not get tired. After some days I went back, but I was told there was no enough evidence of which was lies according to me since I had enough evidence since the man was found with village people who even wanted to stone him to death but as the father of the daughter, I convince people not to take action in their hands.”, Mr. Kakai told the press.

So far, the family is crying to the government especially through the Women Rep. of that county, Hon. Catherine Wambilianga , H.E Ken Makelo Lusaka area M.P Hon. John Koi Waluke and other leaders to help them find justice for their daughter.

As for now, the suspect Mr. SHABAN SIMIYU WAKOYA is freed back to his home and now threatening to take stern actions towards the family and the witness of the case.
The family urges for the immediate help because they are living in fear and anxiety because this man is threatening them with their witness.
