A man has been formally accused of engaging in a conspiracy aimed at defrauding the Nairobi Secondary Schools Teachers (1992) Housing Project Limited of land valued at 250 million shillings.

This serious allegation suggests that the individual may have participated in a scheme designed to unlawfully acquire property that rightfully belongs to the organization, which is dedicated to providing housing for educators.

The case highlights significant concerns regarding the integrity of land transactions and the protection of assets intended for educational professionals.

Joseph Oduor Okwaro is accused of conspiring with others not before court to defraud the teacher of their 5.3352 hectares located in Athi River using forged deed plans No. 224209 to 224218.

Okwaro is also facing nine other counts of making false documents, to wit, deed plans for the said property and purporting them to be genuine and valid from the Survey of Kenya.

He is alleged to have committed the offense on unknown dates and places within the Republic of Kenya without lawful authority or excuse.

The accused denied the charges before Principal Magistrate Geoffrey Onsarigo.

He was released on a bond of Sh 10 million with alternative cash bail of Sh 3 million.
